The goal of this project was to develop a large-format book, recounting notable achievements made in the computer industry. Ones and Zeros: The History of Computers, was designed in a timeline format, showcasing the most influential machines ever produced.
The book incorporates bitmap typography and dynamic, high-resolution photography in order to emphasize the unique form of each product. A rainbow color palette was chosen as a way to reference the color spectrum of RGB computer displays. Clean iconography of computer hardware are presented alongside detailed charts and infographics that were designed to mimic an operating system user-interface.
